Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use Line Deploy:
- Names and contact information (including phone numbers and email addresses)
- Job titles and role information
- Account credentials and authentication data
- Usage data, including login activity, feature interactions, and platform behavior
- Device and browser information, including IP addresses
- Payment and billing information processed through our payment provider
- Communications sent or received through the platform, including SMS message logs
- Carrier-provided verification results, where your mobile carrier confirms that a sign-in request came from the device holding your phone number
- Line type and carrier information for phone numbers, used to confirm a number can receive text messages
How We Use Information
We use collected data to:
- Enable workforce communication and coordination
- Deliver operational SMS messages
- Provide authentication (OTP codes)
- Support training and compliance workflows
- Process billing and maintain account records
- Monitor platform security and prevent abuse
We process this data on the basis of contractual necessity (to deliver the services you have agreed to), legitimate business interest (to maintain platform security and improve our services), and legal obligation where applicable.
SMS Data & Consent
Line Deploy uses SMS messaging for account authentication and operational workforce communication.
For authentication messages, users provide their mobile phone number on the login page and request a one-time verification code to complete authentication. These messages are user-initiated and occur only during the login process.
Customers using the Line Deploy platform are responsible for obtaining prior express consent from recipients before sending operational SMS messages through the platform.
SMS consent data and phone numbers are not sold, rented, shared, or disclosed to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Information may only be shared with service providers necessary to deliver messaging functionality, including telecommunications and messaging providers.
Network Verification
When you sign in to the worker portal with your phone number, we may ask your mobile carrier, through our messaging provider, to confirm that the request is coming from the device that holds that number. We use the result only to verify your identity and to prevent someone else from signing in as you. It does not give us access to your calls, your messages, your location, or your browsing activity, and we do not use it for marketing or advertising.
We store the outcome of that check and the carrier and line-type information returned with it. If your carrier cannot complete the check, we send a one-time passcode to your phone by SMS instead.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or share personal data for marketing purposes. We only share data with service providers necessary to operate the platform, including:
- SMS delivery providers
- Identity and phone number verification providers, including mobile carriers reached through our messaging provider
- Payment processors
- Infrastructure and hosting providers
Cookies & Analytics
We use analytics tools to understand how the platform is used and improve our services. We also use security monitoring tools to detect and respond to threats. These tools may collect device information, IP addresses, and usage patterns. By using Line Deploy, you consent to this data collection for operational and security purposes.
Data Security
We implement reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption of data in transit and access controls that restrict internal access to customer data based on role and business need.
Data Retention
We retain data only as long as necessary to provide services and meet legal obligations. When a Customer’s account is terminated, data will be deleted or anonymized within a reasonable timeframe except where retention is required by law.
Records of work a worker performed for a company — storm participation, training completions, and receipts — are that company’s records. We store them on the company’s behalf, and how long they are kept is determined by that company’s policies and by the record-keeping obligations that apply to it.
User Rights
Workers may correct their name and home state directly under My Info in the worker portal, and may request closure of their Line Deploy sign-in by contacting us. Requests to correct or delete a company’s records of work performed for that company should be directed to the company itself — we hold those records on its behalf and cannot remove them on a worker’s request.
Users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data by contacting us at support@linedeploy.com.
California Residents: If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to request deletion, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. We do not sell personal information. To submit a CCPA request, contact us at support@linedeploy.com.
Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users as promptly as reasonably possible and in accordance with applicable law.
Notice is sent to the contact details we hold for you. For account holders that is the email address on the account. Many workers reach Line Deploy by phone number alone and have no email address on file; those workers will be notified by SMS at the number we hold, and, where a company is affected, we will also notify that company so it can reach its workers directly.
